Wicked Tea

Wicked Tea

Art Event October 15-18, 2015

Tammy Lee will be teaching us the art of creating the "explosion box". Pictures do not do this project justice. You will be creating a multi-layered box, that can be tricked out with vintage goodies, seasonal items or family photo's. We will be creating the basic box. There will be a in PROJECT KIT FEE (not included in the $400) to make the box with a Halloween Steam Punk theme.

Vicki Stevenson's class, "Boo?". A wee prim pumpkin. Vicki will be teaching us the fine art of creating a "prim" aka a primitive. We will stitch Boo from head to toe and then add wonderful details such as his pin, tree, ribbons etc. He's finished off by setting him into a vintage tin. The basics of this class will put you onto the path of crafting more and more prims, for any season.

Art Events are always a lot of fun at the retreat.
I love creating the backdrop for each whimsical weekend.
From the food, decor, entertainment and the little touches.
Art Events are not just regular retreats. They are a major production with a "theme" to each one.
The host (coordinator) of these events and I start planning these months in advance to make sure all the details are perfect.

This was a Downton Abbey themed event.
All the food, decor, clothing was within the era.
We had High Tea on Saturday then transformed
into the roaring 20's that evening with all the glitz and glamour!
Sam Fender was our entertainment for the evening with a
wonderful selection of music
